First Impressions Lusthaveit Box December 2012

After receiving my Bellabox last week it set the bar pretty high for the Lusthaveit box, but did the lusthaveit box rise the occasion? lets have a look
In my anticipation I've been reading just about every review of the Lusthaveit box just to see what there like and what people thought of them and generally the response was positive and I'm a big believer in 'You never know unless you give it a go!' so i purchased the box. I was a little disappointed that they held of sending the boxes earlier due to a special product not arriving in the warehouse in time but at least they wanted us to have it,which unfortunetly only a few of us did, me being on of that few yay! But for those who did they have to wait even longer when they get the January box. One thing I did notice is that the products came in a cute little make-up bag which i was half expecting to get with this one, but it just came in a white post box.

Ok so content. There is the Benefit Mascara, it looks cute I'll give it a try later it also came with a booklet for the Benefit San Francisco brand.
Next Pelactiv facial refiner deep cleansing scrub, it says it desolves  dead skin cells and decongest pores so it sounds pretty good.
Catwalk by Tigi Sessions Series Finishing Hairspray. Im not really one for hairspray do to the nature of my hair I generally don't need to use hair spray for curls , braids  as they tend to stay on there own without the aid of a hair tie or hair spray. But its good to have this on the odd occasion where i might need it.
Naked Tan. I've never used tan before, I'm mixed raised and have a natural tan that I'm quite happy with. I'll be passing this product on to someone who will use it.
Glasshouse Fragrances. The biggest disappointment of them all. They contain Macadamia Oil which is a no go for me as I am allergic to nuts. Once again this product will be passed on.
A sample of the Marc Jacobs Daisy perfume. The bottles look so cute I've never actually smelt it before but its quite nice not as strong as i though i nice sweet flowery cent.
And the Special Product. Lusthaveit! Exfoliating Glove. I'm in need for one of these so that's pretty handy!

Well out of the 7 products I received I will only be keeping 5 of them. A little disappointing with the hand cream but that's no ones fault. Based on first impressions for the December Bellabox and Lusthaveit box i have to say Bellabox comes out on top for me. I'll give these products a go and see what happens. For those that got the Lusthaveit box what did you think? If you got both the Lusthaveit and Bellabox which one did you like better?

Nail Polish Review

Hey Guys, sorry about the wait haven’t been at the computer much I've been living at work! Oh well just think of the money and what I will buy with it! Well I have all of these new products that’s I've sampled here and there but I haven’t had the opportunity to do a proper review and I've dedicated my day of to do it! So as you can see from my previous blogs I've bought a lot of new products that I've done quick swatches of so I’ll start off  with  my nail polishes. From my last haul post (read it here) I bought 9 nail polishes the midnight collection and the discounted savvy  essence and Orly polishes. I’ll start with the midnight collection by Models prefer, as I said before the colours remind me of vampires  they've all got a darkish tone to them and I probably won’t wear them out till the cooler months. First colour in the pack is Hickery dickery at first glance with all the colours they all look the same colour so hopefully when there on my nails they’ll look different. This colour is a really dark blue it’s not until I lifted it to the light that I saw the hue but on my nail it looks black.

Sorry in advance pictures aren't the best quality i had to put flash on so that the colours would turn up

The next colour is late night kiss, at first glance it looks maroon hopefully when applied to the nail it looks that colour, Yes it does! It’s a really nice rich maroon colour I actually have another nail polish similar to this that has glitter in it that I picked up in cosmetics plus.

Hourglass, this colour has a purplish hue to it, you can slightly see the redish tone to it heres what it looks like

Midnight Madness, this one looks similar to hourglass it’s got a darker purple tone

Last colour is Starlight this colour is definitely black which is good I've been meaning to get more black nail polish

While I like the darker richer tones I'm glad I bought the pack and not just because it was reduced to 5 bucks! I usually don’t go for darker colours but I quite like a few of these namely Midnight Madness and Late night kiss. In comparison they all look near the same colour black! So next time I might try putting a white under coat on them and see if that will bring out the colour more.

My Next polish is Grape Jelly by Savvy, now this pastel colour polish is right up my alley I love bright colours and wild patterns and this is now my current colour on my toes it’s pretty pigmented 2 coats is all I need for a nice full colour. Love the nail polish love the colour.

Still sticking with savvy this is the nail polish I picked up for 20c in the colour flaming blue, ever since a girlfriends party she loaned me a colour similar to this and I’ve been on the hunt for a similar one, and of course things always turn up when you’re not looking for them. At first glance it looks really dark but it’s a really nice dark blue with a bit of shimmer to them definitely a colour I’ll wear out for when I hit the town.

Next is the Orly nail polish in walk down the aisle at first the colour isn’t really that attractive it actually reminds me of snot but once it’s applied it’s actually a nice shimmer that would be suitable on its own or on top of a darker colour I’m thinking it would look nice on top of the midnight collection.

Starlight by Models Prefer with the Orly nail polish in Walk down the aisle

And finally last but not least Essence nail polish in on the bright side, this is a really nice fun bright colour definitely to be worn in spring/summer 2 coats will get you a nice even colour.

And before the end of this post I applied essence express dry drops, this little bad boy is now a must every time I put nail polish on, it claims to dry polish within seconds and it does exactly that! Gone are the days flailing my arms around waiting for my polish to dry! I’m really happy with those polishes not just the colours I got but also the price, sometimes it does pay to shop around and it doesn’t always have to be the most expensive brand that’s the best. Definitely worth $7.90 I paid for the 9 polishes I got. I definitely suggest buying nail polishes in packs not only to save you a few extra pennies but for the variety, who knows maybe a colour you once thought was hideously outrages, or to bold for you turns into be a regular polish. Sometimes you have to bite the bullet and go for it! If first you don’t succeed try try again! Well tomorrow is a new day and a new opportunity to stock up on some fun spring/summer colours.

p.s my lusthaveit box arrived today ill post a review later in the day

Shopping Haul from Priceline, Big W and Woolies!

Weekends are the only real days that i get to go shopping and spend all of my hard earned money, and given the great sales for Christmas I knew I would be walking away with some great buys, and that I did! so as you can see in the tittle I went to Priceline, Big W and Woolworths. Ok so as you will begin to see I'm a list person I like to make a list of everything and anything panning from things to do from things to buy. So I sat down last night and made a quick list in preparation for today

All of my purchases from Priceline.

So as we all know yesterday I received my very first Bellabox which you can read here one of the samples I received was the Reb'l Fleur perfume by Rhianna, I said I would definetly go out and buy the full product and that I did! As stated on the card the RRP for the 100 ml is $79 which i was willing to pay but as I walked into priceline I couldn't help but check out the perfumes and to my surprise the Rhianna perfume was there! but what surprised me even more was the lovely price tag $39! that's right you heard me $39 for the 100 ml I was stocked! Even my mother and sister bought the bottle was well! hopefully all pricelines sell the perfume at this price!

Reb'l Fleur by Rhianna 100 ml $39

Check out that lovely price tag!

Next I bought this 5 set Models Prefer Nail Polish that was in a stocking stuffer bin for $5 Its called the Midnight Hour set and the colours included are Hichery Dickery, Late night kiss, Hourglass, Midnight madness and Starlight. Kind of reminds me of vampires.

Essence Eye Shadow Brush which i purchased for $2.55

Essence Pencil Sharpener for $ 1.95

Savvy Nail Polish in Grape Jelly $3.19 20% of Savvy products at Priceline

Orly Nail Lacquer in Walk Down the isle that as you can see from the sticker was marked down to 50c!

Savvy Nail Polish in Flaming Blue that was reduced to 20c!

Essence Season of Extremes Nail Polish in On the bright side that was also reduced to 20c!

Next Shop was Big W I went in there with the intention of buying presents which I did but I also bought presents for myself ;)

So i've been eyeing of the wave envy machine by VS Sasson however i wasn't liking the price tag, I also didn't know how the waves would turn out but this is actually the mini version and I bought this for $19. Quickly played around with it and this is how the waves turned out, it almost looks as if you've taken a braid out but i like it will definetly do a post when i do my whole head.

And Last but not least Woolworth's went to the beauty isle while mum did the groceries and there I bought the garnier BB cream I cant tell you how many reviews i've read about this and its only been good, so I thought I'd join the band wagon luckily for me it was on special for $10.46 and only in my colour to! Medium

Swatch                                                                                                     Rubbed in

And Last if your still with me hair rollers

                                                        28 pack of rollers $9.99

Well if you made it to the end kudos! hope you guys liked the haul! I had quite a successful Day as you can tell. I'll do individual reviews after i've had a bit of a play with them.As always

December Bellabox 2012

Ok, so it finally happend, I got my Bellabox today! After receiving my tracking info and 7.30 am this morning i jumped out of bed and raced to the front of the house. The post man comes at different times so i wanted to make sure i was there when he came. After waiting 3 long hours and becoming some what delusional ( swear i could hear him knocking on my door! ) He finally came at 10.30 am and in his hot little hands contained my very first Bellabox! While i admit i got a little impatient i looked on Bellabox's facebook and saw the contents of the box from people who had already received there's and also the email i knew what was going to be in my box.

                                                      Contents of the box

 So whats in the box?

                                2 x Reb'l Fleur by Rhianna samples 4 ml RRP 100ml $79.00
this was the first thing i tried and it smells amazing its a really light fruity smell suitable for day or night wear. I'm definetly heading out to buy a bottle of this!

                                         Anumi Miracale Recovery 5ml RRp 30ml $65.00
I haven't tried this yet i have sensitive skin so I will definetly be doing a  patch test.

John Freida Frizz - ease secret weapon flawless finishing creme 30 ml RRP 113g $16.99
Haven't tried this either, it smells really nice, it says it tames frizz and smoothes frayed ends both problems i have with my hair so i will be interested to see if I like it.

Allegra Rhodes Hand and Nail Cream. RRP 175 ml $32.95
My cream came in Cherry Blossom and it smells amazing, its moisturizing and doesn't leave my hand feeling sticky and greasy.

                                                  Zipette Full Size RRP $5.95
I quite like the idea of these you attach the round bit over the button and the clip onto your zipper of your pants and it stops your zipper from coming down! who doesn't love that.

And the peice de la resistance Savoir Faire limited edition kit in ' C'est le ton qui fait la musique' ( winter) this is a full size product that retails for $110!
Wow what an amazing piece a full size product that is $110 and all i paid is the $15 for the box talk about getting your monies worth! I did a quick swatch and love all of the shadows and the blush is so nice and shimmery! It also came with look cards which look great cant wait to test those out!

All in all this is a fantastic box that is defiantly worth your money! Its my first beauty box and im so happy i decided to join i cant wait to receive more beauty boxes. I also have subscribed to the Lusthaveit box it sure has a lot to stand up against but im excited for that one to. To everyone that got the Bellabox what do you guys think? Don't forget to subscribe!

Online Shopping at Priceline!

Only recently have I taken the plunge to online shopping and as predicted its another avenue for me to spend money! and so easily to, but oh well monies got to go on something right? After spending $100 on beauty products at priceline in store i decided that wasn't enough and went to there online store ( you can probably tell were I'm going with this ) well i had seen some online vlog reviews about Kate Moss long lasting lipstick by Rimmel and am always looking for new lippy and thought it would be worth a try I've only used the Rimmel Sexy Curves Mascara and had a good experience with that so off I went to look at there lipstick selection. Its always tricky purchsing things online specicaly with the colour differences in the monitor but with fingers crossed I went with number 20 Rossetto/Rouge A Levres. I paid $11.50

                                                          Here is the packaging
                                                               Swatch
                     What it looks like on

As you can see its a really bright and vibrant colour. I love wearing bright colours and its perfect to wear now that we are in summer. Its really pigmented i only applied two coats to get the colour in the picture. Its also very moisturizing  it does'nt leave your lips feeling dry and flacky. And it also as i really nice smell to it.

I also bought Essence I love Runway Highlighter. I bought this for $4.50. Essence is also a really affordable brand of makeup that gives you great quality products for a fraction of the price! I will do a post on Essence in a later blog. In the meantime.... Make sure you subscribe!

Beauty Boxes!

After flicking through numerous youtube videos I stumbled across Bellabox and wondered what on earth they were. A quick Google search lead me straight to there website, were I found out that for $15 a month i could get this box delivered, FREE SHIPPING and i would get a selection of 5-6 beauty samples, some sample size and some full size products.WELL that seemed to be a good deal for me, however i wasn't quite sold. Looking in previous boxes the products seemed pretty good and I'm the kind of girl that likes to switch things up so why not try with these samples? whats the harm? its all to easy to unsubscribe but before i hit that button i found the Lusthaveit box as well. DILEMMA! which box do i choose? the Lust have it box offers the same kind of deal 5-6 samples for $14.95 a month with free shipping as well. After much umming and arring i decided to get BOTH!

Today i received my email notification saying my Bellabox has been dispatched which is so exciting! now all i have to do is play the waiting game, and we all know how that game goes. In hype of my anticipation Bellabox gave a little sneaky peak at whats in the December box and boy does it look good! Take a look here at there  Website I am so excited to receive my first beauty boxes and i think I've choosen a great month to start! Stay tuned for when they arrive! And don't forget to subscribe!
